Amanda Lostritto

 Amanda Lostritto first began her music studies at the age of 4 in violin with Nancy Hill, and at age 10 she began studying piano with Joan Tumilty. Amanda received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance with a concentration in Violin from California State University, Sacramento where she studied violin under Anna Presler and piano under Richard Cionco. In addition to studying two instruments, Amanda was a member of Camerata Capistrano, several Chamber groups, Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir, and Mu Phi Epsilon. 
Growing up, Amanda was an active student and community member, Amanda participated and won Overall Grand Prize in the Auburn Symphony Young Artists Competition, making her solo debut with the Auburn Symphony, as well as first place in her division of the Music in the Mountains Young Musicians Competition. Amanda was also a member of the Sacramento Youth Symphony in all three of its standard Orchestras. 
Pursuing her passion for teaching, Amanda has been teaching private lessons in Violin, Piano, Viola, and beginning Cello for twelve years, and as a Music Teacher's Association of California member, Amanda seeks to provide extensive opportunities for her students to excel in music, having students who are members of the Sacramento Youth Symphony, as well as students who have participated in the Sacramento Youth Symphony's Summer Chamber Music Workshop, and the Auburn Symphony Young Artist's Competition. With a passion for Music Education in Early Childhood, Amanda worked as an assistant preschool teacher for several years, and has received teacher training in Music Together. 
Amanda currently teaches privately in the Northern California foothills, works as administrative assistant to Susan Lamb Cook for the Sacramento Youth Symphony Summer Chamber Music Workshop, coaches for several local music camps, as well as performs with multiple orchestras and chamber groups throughout Northern California. Amanda encourages students to participate in the Livermore-Amador Symphony Competition for Young Musicians, the Pleasanton Youth Music Festival, and Certificate of Merit.
