Group lessons age 4 to 5
A fun way to develop rhythmic coordination, and fundamental music skills. Classes include dancing, singing, clapping, ear training activities and the use of basic musical instruments.
Child psychologists believe that children, at a very young age, begin to think and react through symbols, such as language, drama, drawings and music. Most importantly, the study of music at a young age increases the quality of a child's early life experiences.
In this class, children learn how to recognize rhythmic pattern. Students begin their understanding of high and low pitch sound by moving up and down the keyboard. The materials in the course combine to create an exciting and imaginative atmosphere to learn musical terms and symbols.
We believe this class develops those desirable traits that serve a child well through the rest of their musical experience. Our group classes utilize the Alfred method for Little Mozart's. The series was written to provide appropriate instruction for four-five-and six year-olds with a balance between the discipline necessary for playing the instrument and the enjoyment one gets from the process of music-making. The course centers around the adventures of Beethoven Bear and Mozart Mouse as they learn about music.
